The USPA focuses on career development and networking for UCSC postdoctoral scholars. Our officers organize several workshops and events throughout the year, all on a volunteer basis. We always need more postdoc (and senior graduate student) volunteers to help organize events. Please contact email@example.com if you would be interested in joining. Serving as a board member is likely to help for fellowship and faculty job applications, and provide an opportunity to grow your professional network.
If you are not on our email list please visit and join this google group in order to receive notification of all our events.
The USPA is sponsored by the following departments, divisions and institutes:

Jason Fernandes, PhD
Biomolecular Engineering (BME)
Jason is a postdoctoral scholar in David Haussler’s lab in the Genomics Institute where he studies the genetic differences that separate humans from other animals. He hopes to help make the USPA a vibrant organization that can help postdocs connect with and support one another.
